ABOUT KATHY
With over 25 years in various sales positions, all in the service industries (airline, employment and financial services), I have finally found my niche. In my first year in real estate, I was responsible for over $6.8 million in total sales volume. I joined RE/MAX after just nine months in the business. Known for hiring only proven professionals, it was a real honor being invited to join the number one leader in real estate. Since coming to RE/MAX I have consistently been in the top 25% of all local RE/MAX agents in both listings and sales, beating out agents with many more years of real estate experience. Why? Because I am dedicated to hard work while always maintaining the highest ethical standards. I believe in paying attention to the details and I have a genuine passion for my work and a real concern for my clients. I am committed to providing exceptional service and to taking care of all the details while making the entire process FUN! I adhere to the philosophy: "If you aren't having fun, then you're not doing it right". It's possible to actually enjoy yourself, making it enjoyable for your clients while being completely professional at all times. Being passionate about what you do is the key. Growing up as an Army brat and as an airline employee for ten years, I have experienced more moves than I care to count (over 25), making me truly empathetic to the entire process of relocation. Even if it's a "desired" move rather than one that's "required", the entire process can be very stressful. Not only do I handle all of the details of the real estate transaction, but I also serve as a resource center for my clients' everyday life needs (doctors, dentists, schools, clubs, utilities, extracurricular activities etc). I guess that's why one of my clients told me, "You are so much more than a realtor"!
FAMILY
I have been married to my husband Michael for over 23 years and together we have one son, Matthew who is 20 and is attending Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. We all enjoy playing golf together, traveling, following politics and going to the movies. I'm also passionate about playing tennis. We have lived in the Amelia Island area since 1999 and it is one of the places we have lived the longest, which hopefully conveys how we feel about living in this unique area of Florida. WE LOVE IT!
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
In addition to being very involved in my subdivision of Oyster Bay by serving on various committees, I have also been very active in my community's efforts in Adopt-A-Family every Christmas. I have served as my company's coordinator for Relay-For-Life and every year I raise funds, donate my time and contribute financially. My family has contributed both time and funds to the victims of Hurricane Katrina and the Tsunami. My husband and I are ardent supports of Operation Smile. I have contributed my time and energy to The March of Dimes. I donate a portion of every commission check to the Children's Miracle Network. Giving back to my community is something I strongly believe in.
THE LATEST TECHNOLOGICAL TOOLS
Being technologically "ABOVE THE CROWD" allows me to respond quickly to my clients and to provide them with the most up-to-date information in real time. I continually take classes on the most recent technological advances in order to be able to provide the highest caliber of service. I will complete the final course of my GRI certification in February 2008, which proves my commitment to continuing education in order to become the best realtor I can be. This not only entails continuing education, but also a financial investment in my business.
